Lisfranc Injury
An injury to the midfoot joints and ligaments, frequently missed, that can cause lasting pain if not treated well.
About this condition
The Lisfranc complex links the forefoot to the midfoot and carries a large share of the body's load during walking. Injuries range from a mild sprain to a complete dislocation, and because they are often mistaken for a simple sprain, they are a classic cause of persistent midfoot pain.
