Foot Drop
Weakness that prevents lifting the front of the foot, causing dragging and a high-stepping walk.
About this condition
Foot drop occurs when the muscles that lift the front of the foot are weak, usually due to nerve compression or injury. The foot drags while walking, increasing the risk of falls and tripping, and needs a clear diagnosis of the underlying cause.
